Sensory Therapy

Optometry services are provided by our Optometrist for all clients which include Vision Quality Screening Services, Primary Optometry Examination, Refractive Error Identification Examination, Management of Restricted Visual Impairment, Obstruction and Vision Therapy along with Neuro-Optometry and Visual Rehabilitation.
Department of Optometry also offers Visual Rehabilitation Program for clients with limited vision and blindness by collaborating with Department of Rehabilitation and Vocational. This programme includes Orientation and Mobility Training, Information Technology (IT) training such as computer and smartphone skills as well as other related vocational training.

Our audiologists are responsible in managing clients with hearing, Tinnitus and Balance issues by guiding them through several stages such as Audiology Assessment, Diagnosis and Rehabilitation Programmes that are best suited for them
Suitable rehabilitation equipment and hearing aids will be provided to clients, according to the type and severity of their condition as well as the necessity of their job.
The Department of Speech Therapy offers services to prevent, evaluate, diagnose and assist speech rehabilitation, language, social and cognitive communication as well as swallowing problems for adults.
Individual or group sessions will be assigned according to client’s need. There are also training for caregivers as well as education and information to be shared with the public.
Our speech therapists will ensure that the rehabilitation is in line with rational goals and severity of client’s disability through multidisciplinary approach.
Clinical psychologist offers structured cognitive and behavioural therapy activities through the Mental Health Recharge Programme to all clients.
The goal of our Mental Health Recharge Programme is to facilitate emotional, cognitive, behaviour and social skills for those with psychosocial difficulties. This will enable them to cope with challenges in their daily lives and promote social integration within the family, community, and workplace with confidence and self-reliance.
The various psychological interventions are conducted to:
- Enhance social-adaptive skills
- Create a healthy sense of self-esteem
- Restructure cognition and mindset in perceiving challenges in life
- Learn effective strategies to live a meaningful life

Our dietitians provide dietary consultation related to certain diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, gout, and others. In addition, consultation on weight management is also given with proper, safe and effective nutritional advices.
For clients who have lost the ability to eat and drink, our dietitians will work closely with other medical teams to ensure the dietary intake meet their daily needs.
